Ballinger, Galvan & Knopf are perferred providers of Invisalign® therapy for our patients. Invisalign is a clear liner system to move and correct the alignment and appearance of teeth. We believe this is just one more way that we can help our patients look and feel their best.
Chances are, you have already heard of Invisalign. It is a process to straighten teeth with advantaged over traditional braces. The aligner trays are not only smooth and comfortable to wear, but they’re also removable. This means you can continue doing all the things you normally would, from brushing and flossing, to eating whatever you like. In addition their minimalist appearance make them hardly noticeable to those around you.
Frequently Asked Questions
What results can I expect?
Invisalign can be used for a multitude of dental issues ranging from tooth crowding or spacing, to over and underbites. It can also be the perfect treatment for those who had traditional braces in their youth but have experienced relapse. Invisalign can also be a conservative approach for many patient cosmetic concerns.
How long does treatment take?
Treatment length is determined by each patient’s individual needs. Each liner is worn for 2 weeks at a time. Most comprehensive cases are completed within 12-18 months. Minor or localized changes may take as little of 3-6 months.
How is Invisalign different from Veneers?
While veneers are certainly an option for improving your smile, they only cover up certain dental imperfections, rather than correct them. Veneers are applied to the front side of the teeth only, and also require the removal of the surface enamel of each tooth—an irreversible procedure. They also may need to be replaced or repaired in your lifetime due to possible chipping or breaking the veneer. So while the outward appearance of the teeth may improve with veneers, the underlying tooth and gum problems could still exist.
